The first moving nativity scene in Toronto-Oshawa in the Polish church of St. Hedwig. We invite children, teenagers and adults to a show of over 50 moving figures and to adoration of the Lord Jesus Christ. Demonstrations combined with catechesis after each Holy Mass from 25 December. The tradition of making nativity scenes was started 800 years ago, in 1223 in Greccio, Italy, by Saint Francis of Assisi. It doesn’t matter what the manger looks like – always the same or different every year – what matters is that it speaks to our lives.
