Drodzy Parafianie,
Nasz kościół to miejsce kultu religijnego, miejsce spotkań grup działających przy parafii, to dziedzictwo po poprzednich pokoleniach wielkiego serca, którzy z zaangażowaniem i ciężką pracą sprawili, iż mamy Polską Parafię p.w. św Jadwigi Śląskiej.
Jako Wasz proboszcz wraz z Radą Finansową i Duszpasterską, zwracamy się z serdeczną prośbą do wszystkich naszych parafian, instytucji i przedsiębiorstw o wszelką pomoc materialną, która umożliwi nam zrealizowanie projektu modernizacji naszego kościoła w zakresie odwodnienia dolnych pomieszczeń i remontu sali parafialnej i kuchni.
Trudno nie zauważyć, że rozpoczął się już remont. Wystarczy zejść na dół do głównej sali i rozejrzeć się po wnętrzach aby zobaczyć, ile już zrobiono oraz jaki ogrom pracy jeszcze nas czeka.
W minionych tygodniach cała ekipa naszych parafian zebrała się aby przygotować miejsce pod remont. Został rozebrany barek, oderwane płytki ścian kuchennych i niektóre zbutrwiałe szafki kuchenne. Została zatrudniona firma, która skuła i wycięła posadzkę wzdłuż ścian, usuwając powstały gruz oraz wybierając żwir i błoto. Można zauważyć że w wyciętych miejscach dalej stoi pełno wody gruntowej, prace sukcesywnie postępują do przodu.
Jak to zwykle bywa przy remontowaniu nie zawsze można do końca przewidzieć, czy po zdemontowaniu pewnych stałych elementów nie napotka się na dodatkowe utrudnienia i konieczność wykonania prac, których nie planowano. Tak też jest w naszym przypadku musimy zakupić nowy bolier i wykonać niezbędne prace hydrauliczne i elektryczne.
Szacuje się, iż koszt wszystkich prac znacznie przekroczy uprzednio oszacowaną sumę $70,000. Na koncie Renowacyjnym jest już zebrana suma, która pokryje prace już rozpoczęte. Bardzo serdecznie dziękujemy wszystkim dotychczasowym ofiarodawcom, dzięki którym te prace mogliśmy już rozpocząć.
Jednakże zwracamy się do wszystkich Parafian z gorącą prośbą, w miarę Państwa możliwości o wsparcie finansowe dla kolejnych prac remontowych, które są przed nami: 1/. modernizacja kuchni i Sali, oraz 2/. rampa wejściowa do sali. Za każdy dar serca z góry serdecznie dziękujemy „Bóg zapłać!”
W przyszłym tygodniu będą wyłożone dodatkowe kopertki na ten cel, przy głównym wejściu do kościoła.
Św. Jadwigo Patronko naszej Parafii, uproś u tronu Bożego potrzebnych łask dla prac remontowych w naszym kościele. Modlę się przez Twe wstawiennictwo o gorące i hojne serca byśmy pomyślnie mogli przeprowadzić wszelkie prace. Amen.

CHURCH RENOVATION
Dear Parishioners,
Our church is a place for religious worship, a place where various groups meet, associated with our parish, it is the heritage of previous generations of great heart, who with their involvement and hard work created our Parish, dedicated to our Silesian Saint Hedwig.
As your Pastor, along with the Financial and Pastoral Council, I sincerely appeal to all of our parishioners, institutes and businesses for whatever material aid, which will help us to realize the modernization project of our parish, in the form of clearing water issues, of the lower areas of our structure, as well as the renovation of our hall and kitchen.
It would be difficult to not notice that this renovation has already started. You only have to enter the main hall and look around at the interior to notice how much effort has been expended and how much work is still ahead of us.
In the previous weeks, a large contingent of our parishioners, got together to make preparations for this great undertaking. The bar was taken apart, tiles from the kitchen walls and several moldy cupboards were removed. A company has been hired to pick apart and cut out the edge of the flooring the length of the wall, the rubble has been removed as well as the gravel and mud from the interior. You can see that the ground water is still standing from the areas that have been cut away, the results of a positive undertaking which are continuing forward.
As often occurs in the process of a renovation, the end can’t always be foreseen, you can’t always know what difficulties due to the demolition will require additional efforts for the completion of this task, which were not planned for. Our efforts did not include the purchase of a new boiler as well as updating plumbing and electrical structures.
I am fully aware that our estimates will undoubtedly exceed the $70,000, which was originally earmarked for this great undertaking. Our Renovation fund has been able to cover the costs of the work already started. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our parishioners who have donated up to now, thanks to whom we have been able to begin this great project.
However, we are forced to extend to you, our parishioners, this great plea to help in whatever way is possible to extend this renovation in the following manner, which stand before us at this time. 1. The modernization of the kitchen and hall, as well as 2. An entry ramp into the hall.

Saint Hedwig, Patron of our church, obtain for us, from the throne of God, the necessary graces required for this renovation of our church. I pray for your intercession, that with hearts full of warmth and generosity we may complete all of these works. Amen
